Patrons Help Form Macbeth

Independent Shakespeare Company logoAudiences have an opportunity to help shape the Independent Shakespeare Company's upcoming summer production of Macbeth as the Los Angeles–based theater stages the play for a limited run in its Studio theater April 13–May 12.

"We'll be trying out new ideas throughout the run, and at each performance we'll be inviting you to share your thoughts and impressions," a company newsletter says. Patrons will also be able to enjoy an interactive art installation: The Nightmare Floor. "Share with us your darkest dreams by writing them on the stage before the performance. Your fears will be the very ground we're walking on."

After the show, audiences can join in discussions about the play over the theater's signature cocktail, a cup of Witch's Brew.

The performance features Luis Galindo as Macbeth and plenty of blood. Shows are Saturdays and Sundays at 5 p.m. at the Independent Studio, 3191 Casitas Ave. #168, Los Angeles CA 90039. Tickets are $20 ($15 for students) at www.iscla.org or call 818-710-6306.
